Wes Wright, a man who the Wasi' chu would call a "Native American," lived in peace with his environment; at least until his world was thoughtlessly violated. Feeling victimized at first, a deep hatred developed of the U.S Government for the millions sacrificed at their alter of 'Manifest Destiny.'
The First American story creates a rich background for Wes and the people in his world, especially Jane, who might center him again. Characters are introduced with a generous, endearing, and sometimes poignant presentation. Abundant factual historical background and cultural references provide the reader with ample context of how Wes justifies his actions.
The FBI picks up Wes' trail and are closing in. Concurrently, his actions re-ignite the First American "Ghost Dance" culture. Where the authorities were once confident Wes was a lone wolf, they are suddenly dealing with eco-warrior's activities from New York to the Rockies.
Wes Wright and the Ghost Dancers are eco-terrorists. The reader will appreciate the characters and context, and will likely relate to the First American's motivations, if not their methods.
